Intensity of Love

Love is the gift of God..
tender and sensitive feeling
Love is pure emotion..
ecstasy of personal being

Sometimes like a burning fire..
intense than the rays of sun
Often love is soft and gentle..
pleasing than the light of moon

Love cherishes delight and bliss..
preserves silence deep in soul
Love makes cry and moan..
while we miss darling pal

No sin is bigger than..
breaking the heart of dears
Love is worship of God..
there blossoms spirit of universe

8 AM to 8 PM

Many people make common mistake- they assume work is their life. They identify themselves with the glory of the professional post. In the journey of life, they miss many things. Towards end of life they realise their mistake. But is too late. Message of the poem is " Work to live, not live to work" - Shirish Ravan

He reached office early at 8 AM
He worked late until 8 PM

Working for twelve hours was his pride
He forced subordinates to follow his stride

He was off the home when kids were sleeping
While he returned, they were busy studying

Time never stops and routine becomes habit
He kept running as if, tortoise challenged a rabbit

He found an excuse, ‘its for family welfare’
But he had no time to offer ‘love’ and ‘care’

Twenty years later, turned back to life
He found no place amongst his kids and wife

Then he thought his colleagues might care
But troubled subordinates had no time to spare

He had no choice but start again at 8 AM
Alas… he had to be there until 8 PM

Keep Growing

You are what you think. If you think you are becoming old, you will. You can slow down ageing by right thinking. Whats important is Keep Growing while you age naturally. This is the essence of below poem. - Shirish Ravan

Once said an old Sage
A person should ‘grow’ with rising age

Growth means ‘values & principles unshaken’
and dedicate to the mission undertaken

Growth means be everyday a ‘better person’
and prevent from immoral action

Growth means nurturing a ‘balancing act’
and avert from cowardice tact

Growth means ‘ethics with humble attitude’
and offer well-wishers a deep gratitude

Growth means work for ‘cause and purpose’
Labour for money seldom rewards with the Rose

Grow like a running water course
Stagnant water can never be energy source

Grow..Grow.. but never get old
Shine forever like jewels of the gold
